The Lord’s Timing is Perfect

In August, we had the opportunity to travel down the West Coast and visit several churches in Washington and California who are partnering with us to reach Mexico City. It was a blessing to be able to spend time with Kayla’s side of the family in Washington State as they hosted us for much of this itineration trip. One highlight of our trip was visiting Clayton Community Church in Clayton, WA. The kids in this small, rural church raised over $1,000 during their Vacation Bible School to support our mission! We were surprised and truly grateful for their generosity. We love seeing the next generation learning to support missions through prayer and sacrificial giving! Whether on the West Coast or back “home” in Texas, we are grateful to connect with so many people with a heart for the lost worldwide.

As the summer drew to a close, we planned to move to our training site in Costa Rica at the beginning of September. We worked hard to get everything in order, believing that our house would sell and we would be on our way; despite doing everything in our power to sell the house, one door after another closed. Our house did not sell. Although we were discouraged that our departure would have to be delayed, we genuinely believe that the Lord’s timing is perfect. We are hopeful that our house will sell soon and that we will be on our way to the mission field in the first quarter of 2025. During this time of transition, we cling to the wisdom found in Proverbs 16:9 (NLT), “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our step.”

We are using this extra time that the Lord gifted us in the U.S. to continue to connect with people who want to join our support team. We still have some available dates over the coming months and would love to connect with churches, businesses, small groups and individuals who want to hear more about our heart to reach Mexico.
