God is Good, and So Are His People

We use this phrase quite often in our home; it sums up our experience with God and the church. As we reflect on our journey as followers of Christ, we see the goodness of God shown through His people time after time.

God is inherently good. He's a loving father full of love, compassion, and mercy. He's refuge and strength in times of trouble (Psalm 46). We have experienced His love and presence firsthand.

Though the church is made of imperfect people, it is the conduit God chose to make His name known. Kayla and I are both children of the church. We were raised in it and formed by it. We have dedicated over a decade of our lives to serving the church full time. The church is good because God is good, and we have never felt this ring truer than in our current season of life.

We have visited many churches and met many people who have chosen to give sacrificially to the call of God in our lives. If that's you, we want to express immense gratitude for selflessly giving.

On February 25th, we had the honor and privilege to stand before Northplace Church, where we have served for over a decade. We had the opportunity to share our heart for Mexico with hundreds of our friends, church members, and others we have not yet met. Through the miraculous generosity of each of these individuals, widows, young families, businessmen and women, and young college students alike, we were able to complete our cash budget! This cash budget is a requirement of our missions sending agency to help launch our ministry and cover one-time expenses. This is the portion of the budget that we have 100% completed!

For the remaining portion of our budget, we have the opportunity and responsibility to partner with individuals and churches who commit to giving on an ongoing monthly basis. While we still have a ways to go, we are celebrating the fact that our monthly commitments are now at 63%! This is a huge victory!

Our goal is to complete our monthly support fund by June to be cleared to leave by August. We must complete our budget by this deadline, or we will be pushed back another five months due to program timelines. We need about $2,000 more in monthly commitments to reach this goal.

We are almost there. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us on a monthly basis and help push us across the finish line?
